At the ROKA stores in Rotterdam, Haarlem, Tilburg, Enschede, and Groningen, you can have a bespoke suit tailored for your wedding.

A unique suit to get married in, configured by you, designed to be unlike any other. Your custom-made suit will be crafted to your measurements, and you can choose the buttons, lapel style, single, double, or triple-button closure, the lining, and more details to suit your preferences. Select from the finest Italian fabrics from renowned names such as Scabal, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Marzotto, Cerruti, and Loro Piana. You can even opt to have your wedding date and initials embroidered into the suit.

    6 tips for buying a tailor-made wedding suit

    Tip 1

    Bring a swatch of the wedding dress fabric

    Take a piece of the wedding dress fabric to the tailor-made suit store. The groom’s suit is often coordinated with the bride’s dress. If the bride has purchased her dress from a reputable bridal boutique, she will usually receive a fabric swatch to help match accessories. This swatch can be invaluable when selecting your suit, ensuring the accessories and suit match the dress perfectly in color and style.

    Allow plenty of time to choose your suit
    Plan to start looking for your suit 3 to 6 months before the wedding. Since your suit is custom-made, account for a production time of approximately 8 to 10 weeks. If you need accessories, additional time may be required. Give yourself ample time to make the right choice!

    Ensure proper proportions of your suit

    The right fit is crucial for a polished look.

    • Sleeve length is a key indicator of fit.
    • The shoulders should fit snugly but not too tightly Avoid too much looseness that causes the shoulders to sag.
    • For a two-button jacket, the top button should close comfortably without creating creases or gaps between the jacket and your torso.
    • Modern trends favor shorter jackets, roughly the same length as the sleeves. If you’re taller, double-check the sleeve length to avoid a jacket that looks too short.

    Check the quality of the fabric

    Ensure the fabric of your suit meets your expectations. Each fabric type has its unique benefits and drawbacks. Discuss your preferences for wrinkle resistance and climate suitability with the store. A quality store will advise you on fabric properties to ensure your suit meets your needs.

    Try different suit fits
    Custom suits come in various fits. Ensuring the proportions of your suit are correct is essential. Every man is unique, so trying different fits is important. When the fit is right, you’ll feel it: the shoulders will sit perfectly, and the suit will feel comfortable.

    Limit the number of people you bring along
    Too many opinions can create unnecessary confusion. Bring only those whose opinions matter most to you. We recommend limiting the group to four people (including the groom). This keeps the experience focused and stress-free.

These suits serve as the foundation for creating your unique tailor-made wedding suit. By trying on these suits, you can see what suits you best and experience what feels comfortable. From this starting point, we can work together to configure your custom suit and take your measurements.
